 Sushiswap just can’t catch a break 😪

Just after having received a subpoena from the USA Securities and Exchange Commission as early as 2 weeks ago, Sushiswap has yet again made headlines for the wrong reasons!

A bug introduced into the DEX 4 days ago was exploited in the last 24 hours to drain ~$3.3 million worth of Ethereum from a single user's account.

The unfortunate attack victim was found to be none other than the infamous “0xSifu”. If this name rings a bell to you, then you must remember him as the CFO of “Wonderland”. Wonderland was considered by many as the promise of DeFi 3.0, where users believed they could become “B”illionaires overnight by receiving 80,000% + APY’s on their deposited funds.🤦‍♂️(No, that figure is not a typo!)

Months later, ZachXBT, a well-known on-chain detective 🕵️ doxxed Sifu to be Omar Dhanani, the co-founder of now-defunct Canadian exchange QuadrigaCX, that had collapsed in 2019 after his partner Gerald Cotten disappeared with $169 million. That’s right! A treasury of hundreds of millions of dollars was being managed by a conman! No wonder they call DeFi the “Wild West” of crypto 😅

A con man who scammed people of millions of dollars finally got a taste of his own medicine! Talk about karma 🙈

Coming back to the Sushiswap exploit, the victim’s wallet 👝 was targeted by an "approve-related bug" in SushiSwap's RouterProcessor2 contract to steal ~1,800 ETH. (Un)Fortunately, 300 ETH stolen has already been recovered at the time of writing, with another 700 ETH in process.

Although other user assets seem to be safe, we would recommend you to revoke any approvals given to Contract 0x044b75f554b886A065b9567891e45c79542d7357 in order to ensure the safety of your funds 😅

In spite of all the drama, the price of $SUSHI showed resilience & is up 1.65% in the past 24, trading at $1.12 per token.

Coinbase X Lightning Network ⚡

What's that on the horizon for Coinbase, you ask? Well, we've heard whispers that the CEO, Brian Armstrong, has something up his sleeve - something that could change the game for Bitcoin transactions as we know it.

That’s right! Coinbase could soon be looking to integrate the Lightning Network on its platform 💪 Brian Armstrong tweeted about this possibility after a certain Bitcoin enthusiast on Twitter was calling him out for turning a blind eye to this innovative layer-2 solution.

This integration could very well be the missing key 🔑 to faster and more affordable BTC transactions & mass adoption of the Bitcoin network.

Will Coinbase finally make their move and embrace Lightning? ⚡ What will this mean for the price of Bitcoin? Rest assured, Coinsauce will be there every step of the way, providing you with all the necessary updates & developments on this possibly revolutionary integration.

21 million bitcoin & 1 million ordinals 💪

Remember Bitcoin Ordinals? A new buzzword that took the crypto world by storm in the month of January ❓

Well, those ordinals are multiplying faster than lockdown haircuts, and the network has already hit over a million inscriptions in just a few months ❗

Analytics data shows that the cumulative minting volume of Bitcoin Ordinals inscriptions has exceeded 1 million, currently, 1,040,881, and the cumulative fee income has reached $4,758,619. This increase is equivalent to 2364.4% in 30 days.

Although it will take over a century to mine the remaining ~1.8 million $BTC, it appears that the race to the 21 million mark is heavily skewed in favor of the ordinals over the $BTC token! Ordinals seem to be in a hurry to reach that finish line. At the current pace, $BTC is likely to suffer an embarrassing defeat to the ordinals, much like to Brazil's infamous 7-1 loss to Germany in the 2014 FIFA World Cup 🤭

However, when it comes to accruing long-term value, it's uncertain what the future holds for the Ordinals. However, in this regard, $BTC seems to have a clear long-term trajectory: Upwards!. In this sense, we can probably say that slow and steady wins the race! 🏁

Bitcoin's Easter Egg Hunt: Hunting for Its Price Fluctuations Over the Years 💰🥚

On Easter Sunday, April 9th 2023, Bitcoin closed around $27,931, even though its decreased since the last volatility. Here are the Easter Sunday prices for the past five years

A wise man 🧙‍♂️ once said, “The best time to buy bitcoin was in 2011, the next-best time to buy bitcoin is now!” (Not Financial Advise, Of course!)
