ATM Revolution ❗️
Bitcoin Depot, a prominent bitcoin ATM operator, has made history by successfully launching on the Nasdaq, becoming the first US company in the bitcoin ATM industry to go public.
This milestone follows the recent announcement of the company’s merger with GSR II Meteora, a blank check company, solidifying its position as the first publicly listed bitcoin ATM provider in the United States.
The company boasts an extensive network of 6,440 kiosk locations, allowing users all across the USA to buy and sell their digital assets with ease, just like with the case of traditional ATMs.
The company is currently valued at $200 million, with its shares trading on the NASDAQ at $3.30 per share at the time of writing.
A Dream Launch 🚀
Threads is here! Meta's response to its rival Twitter has officially launched! The app has been designed and built by the Instagram team and is used for sharing text updates and joining public conversations. It provides a simple UI to write threads and is linked to Instagram & Facebook.
The app is intuitive and allows users to post messages of up to 500 characters in length, which is significantly higher than the 280 characters currently offered by Twitter. The posts can include photos, videos up to five minutes long, and web links.
Although it isn't the case at present, the team’s aim is to make Threads compatible with ActivityPub. This is a decentralised social networking protocol that allows apps to interconnect with other apps that use the same protocol. This would allow Threads users to seamlessly. interact with accounts on multiple social media platforms together.
Threads has been rolled out in 100 different countires and over 10 million users have already signed up within a single day. Its quite safe to say that the craze is for real! If you are already using the platform, don’t forget to check us out here.
