Quickest Trade War Ever!
Just 48 hours after the trade war began, President Trump has reached a deal with BOTH Canada and Mexico.
This includes both countries deploying 10,000 personnel to monitor the border and reduce drug trade.
US tariffs on Canada and Mexico will be PAUSED for at least 30 days as a part of the deal.
As part of the deal, Canada will be:
Implementing a $1.3 billion border plan
Protecting border with 10,000 front-line personnel
Appointing a "Fentanyl Czar" to reduce drug trade
Launching a US/Canada Join Strike Force
Implementing new $200 million intelligence directive
Meanwhile, China's retaliation has arrived as it has chosen to fight back.
Starting from February 10, 2025, tariffs will be imposed on some imported goods originating from the United States. A 15% tariff will be imposed on coal and liquefied natural gas, and a 10% tariff will be imposed on crude oil, agricultural machinery, large displacement vehicles, and pickup trucks.
Eric Trump Bullish On Ethereum!
Ethereum prices recovered as Eric Trump posts, "In my opinion, its a great time to add $ETH. You can thank me later."
Currently, World Liberty Finance holds 77,818 ETH ($257M), with 19,403 staked via Lido Finance, and 646.72 WBTC ($67.6M). In the past few hours, WLF moved $175 million of ETH to Coinbase.
The price of ETH crashed 27% upon the trade war news, before rallying almost 40% a few hours later, ending the day in green. Such volatile price action hasn’t been seen in a while in crypto, and highlights the importance of good risk management.
