Telegram expands it’s crypto footprints 👣 

Bitcoin on Telegram? You betcha 😅 Why bother with complicated exchanges when you can trade Bitcoin with your 700 million closest friends on Telegram! The @wallet bot just added support for BTC transfers, making it even easier to manage and send your bitcoin to your friends and family🤑 

While TON was the only crypto asset that could be transferred to other Telegram users until April 2022, BTC and USDT can now be leveraged too.

With a whopping 700 million active users using the app, Telegram isn't just a messaging app - it's a lifestyle. And now, with Bitcoin support on its @wallet bot, it's a crypto powerhouse too. 💪

Binance-backed Trust Wallet faces security breach 🔓️ 

It's a tale as old as time in the crypto world : a hot wallet vulnerability leading to loss of funds. 😔 In this case, Trust Wallet's browser extension was affected, resulting in a $170K hit. 💸

The hot wallet reported a WebAssembly (WASM) vulnerability that affected wallets generated by its browser extension between Nov. 14 – 23, 2022, leading to a loss of $170,000 in user funds 🤐 

Luckily, the Binance-backed wallet has promised to make things right and refund the affected users, but as we all know, this is not always the case with other exploits!

If you are a Trust Wallet user, make sure to double-check your security settings and stay vigilant! Remember, hot wallets can be convenient to use, but there are always chances of being burnt 🔥 That is why we always advocate self-custody for safe storage! As we always say, Not your keys, Not your crypto 🔒️ 

Zimbabwe to forge ahead with new gold-backed digital currency 🥇 

Zimbabwe is bringing in the big guns to tackle their currency woes! 💰 The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe is planning to roll out a brand spanking new gold-backed digital currency that'll soon be recognized as legal tender in the country 🚀 

With the Zimbabwean dollar struggling to keep up with the US dollar (trading nearly Z$1,001 to $1), this move will give Zimbabweans the chance to exchange their local currency for a digital gold token, helping them safeguard against the wild currency fluctuations. 📈

Zimbabwe's been grappling with inflation (Over 86% in March 2023) and currency volatility for over a decade, and this new initiative could help stabilize the situation. The situation is so bad that businesses have started printing their "own money", often on handwritten scraps of paper, so users can pay for future purchases. (Cough Cough, doesn’t the FED do the same with the Dollar? 😂)

From adopting the US dollar in 2009, to reintroducing the Zimbabwe dollar in 2019, the country's trying everything it can to get back on track. 🚀 We can only hope and pray that this gold-backed currency might just be Zimbabwe's shining moment ✨
